West Virginia Personal Injury Attorney

At the Hartley Law Group, Brenten focuses his practice on personal injury, medical negligence, and toxic tort litigation. Drawing on both his legal education and health science background, he works to help individuals and families navigate complex legal issues while pursuing accountability from those responsible for their injuries.

Brenten was born and raised in Lost Creek, West Virginia, where he learned the value of hard work and community. He graduated from West Virginia University in 2023 with a degree in Exercise Physiology while completing pre-medical studies. His background in health sciences gives him a unique perspective on complex medical issues that often arise in personal injury, medical malpractice, and toxic tort litigation.

Although he initially intended to pursue a career in medicine, Brenten recognized that his passion was helping people through advocacy. He chose to attend the West Virginia University College of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 2026. While in law school, he participated in the West Virginia Innocence Project, assisting with post-conviction and habeas corpus matters and gaining valuable experience representing individuals whose voices might otherwise go unheard.

Outside of the office, Brenten enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and following a variety of sports. He also enjoys spending time with his fiancée, family, and friends.
