African-American Files Lawsuit Resulting from his Discriminatory Firing

Hartley Law Group along with Atkinson & Polak recently filed a civil lawsuit on behalf of an African-American who was wrongfully terminated because of his race. Suit was filed in the Circuit Court of McDowell County, West Virginia against various Frontier Communication companies. Plaintiff had worked for Frontier and its predecessor companies for 25 years prior to his termination.

He began his employment as a long distance phone operator and advanced his career through a series of promotions in various locations in the United States. At the time of his termination, plaintiff was the Director of Sales and Service for Frontier Communications at its center located in Charleston, West Virginia. Plaintiff had consistently received satisfactory employment reviews and both cash and stock bonuses at the time he was terminated.

Defendants include: Frontier West Virginia, Inc.; Frontier Communications Corporate Services, Inc.; Frontier Communications ILEC Holdings, Inc.; Frontier Communications of America, Inc.; Ken Arndt and Steve Snedegar.
